The salesman’s next stop was up the river in Easton, at the Snyder Funeral Home on North Third Street, which had been owned and operated by Robert’s late father, Elmer Snyder. While chatting with Robert, the salesman let slip Mr. Struthers’ intention to sell his business. Unwilling to betray a confidence, Robert waited three days before mentioning his conversation with the salesman to Marjorie. Marjorie, having known Mr. Struthers in high school, felt confident that they could approach him about purchasing his funeral home; soon after, their happy life in Riegelsville began. Since 1951, the Robert W. Snyder Funeral Home has helped our friends and neighbors to honor our loved one’s lives through skilled and personal funeral service.
