Mrs. Gillis was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Phillip Gillis. She is survived by children Steven Gillis, Elizabeth Gillis and Everet Gillis; and one granddaughter. Private funeral services for the family were held at Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home followed by burial at Mansfield Memorial Park. A funeral service was held October 12, 2020 at Church of the Open Door in Vermilion, OH. Interment followed the next day in Fulton, NY. A memorial service is planned for July 2, 2021 at the Memorial Garden at Chautauqua Park in Lakeside Chautauqua.
